There were a few beautiful days in Vancouver last week so what better to spend a warm evening than stuffing your face at a window seat at La Brasserie? Nothing, nothing at all. La Brasserie (German-Franco cuisine) is located on Davie (cross street Thurlow) and seats about a small family of 6… okay I lied, but it’s really small!
Truffled poutine was MONAAAAY, so were the whipped pommes puree (mashed taters for you common folk)
Aged White Cheddar, Bacon, Crispy Onions, Truffle Aioli – Not gon’ front, one of the best tasting burgers i’ve had in awhile… and i’m a burger hater.
Lemon, garlic, parsley and cream mussels, eaten with the mashed potatoes. I seriously had itis for about 18 hours after. The first bite felt like heaven in my mouth!
A must go to resturant on Davie. Killin’ food with a view, ain’t nothin better than that good life
New spot Siena def hit the spot for us ladies on Friday night. It’s a newer Mediterranean spot on 12th and Granville, and of course we went to support our homie Long on his new cooking adventure. (Vancouver, BC)
Fried risotto balls.. SO BOMB.
Mushroom Tagliatelle, parmesan, shallots, charred leeks, madeira cream / Braised Lamb Ravioli, truffled pecorino, mint & orange gremolata
Salumi & Cheese Plate, served with warm olives and grilled focaccia / Polenta Fries, basil almond aioli / Sautéed Kale, fried garlic, chile, lemon, olive oil
Chocolate cake / ice cream x espresso / pear gelato
Not pictured were the 4 bottles of wine also consumed at this delicious dinner. Another happy episode of killin it brought to you by yours truly and co.
Steak Baguette and fries with Vickyloves @ work cafeteria (North Vancouver, BC)
Horseradish mayo, tomato sauce, garlic aoili, lettuce, and tomatoes on a toasted baguette with medium rare steak and fries.
@VickytheMaker I KILLED IT!! I am seriously so friggin’ full. Big lunches on week days always lead to me cat napping under my desk, meow. And employee of the year award goes to…ME!
