Archives for category: mashed taters

There were a few beautiful days in Vancouver last week so what better to spend a warm evening than stuffing your face at a window seat at La Brasserie? Nothing, nothing at all. La Brasserie (German-Franco cuisine) is located on Davie (cross street Thurlow) and seats about a small family of 6… okay I lied, but it’s really small!

Truffled poutine was MONAAAAY, so were the whipped pommes puree (mashed taters for you common folk)

Aged White Cheddar, Bacon, Crispy Onions, Truffle Aioli  – Not gon’ front, one of the best tasting burgers i’ve had in awhile… and i’m a burger hater.

MURKVILLE.

Lemon, garlic, parsley and cream mussels, eaten with the mashed potatoes. I seriously had itis for about 18 hours after. The first bite felt like heaven in my mouth!

A must go to resturant on Davie. Killin’ food with a view, ain’t nothin better than that good life :)

That’s right folks, there is fried chicken to be eaten in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside! More specifically at Save On Meats. Go early on weekends bc its almost always packed! (Vancouver, BC)

It was a little non traditional, more shake and bake steeze than’ peel off the skin in one swift movement’ type of deal. But of course, we be killin it.

The girls and I got it in this past weekend at panty droppin heaven, The Cheesecake Factory. (Seattle, Washington)

5 girls, 6 dishes, 2 desserts = double chin status.

cant not get the fried mac and cheese balls, monaaay!

Fried avocado spring rolls, it was still so buttery inside mmm.

Thai Chicken Pasta was really good, it had a creamy peanut sauce / Pasta Da Vinci – chicken, shrooms, and onions in a white wine sauce with penne and parm cheese

obviously Veeeezy had the chicken and biscuits with mashed potatoes and country gravy. YOM alert.

Nigs had the Chicken Bellagio, it was just as good as we remembered it in Cali. Crispy coated chicken breast over basil pasta and pesto cream sauce topped with prosciutto and arugula Salad.

puttin in work like welfare Wednesdays holla.

I love it when girls eat, dont you?

And of course we made room for dessert :)

Red velvet cheesecake and keylime pie. I’m not a cheesecake person but i fuck with red velvet..! Double scoop ice cream please.

Girl, we be killin’ em! xoxo

Sometimes you just need to designate a day to straight chillin and eating. @Thu and @Sindy got their food comfort on this past weekend..(Vancouver, BC)

Grilled cheese and tomato soup from Red Wagon Cafe

Mass slaughter at Ikea -these girls are savages! Meatballs, mashed potatoes, fish and chips and the bombest mac & cheese.

IKI: Does anyone else go to Ikea just to eat? I know i do. they have the bombest food and at such affordable prices. Dinner is on ME.

We got it IN at Tomahawk for Sunday brunch. (North Vancouver, BC)

Anna had the OYSTERS ON TOAST
Six breaded oysters, deep-fried, and served on Klondike toast with Yukon-style bacon, our homemade tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. Served with your choice of golden fries or hash browns.

Cherie had the ORGANIC PRIME RIB DINNER
Organic, slow-roasted Baron of Beef, hand-carved and served with our thick homemade gravy, yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegetables.

Sindy had the STEAK AND MUSHROOM PIE
“AAA” steak pieces and sautéed mushrooms together in a thick, tasty, beef gravy and surrounded by a flaky pastry shell. Served with mashed potatoes and
seasonal vegetables.

and yours truly had the ROASTED TURKEY DINNER
Slow-roasted turkey, served with homemade cranberry relish, paired with stuffing and thick turkey gravy. Served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

I finished it with absolutely no help… and helped Anna finish her fried oysters too. That turned you on a little bit didn’t it? lol

We be killin it!!!

Businsess lunch at the Pinnacle Pier Hotel (North Vancouver, BC)

Succulent turkey, stuffing, garlic mashed potates, steamed root veggies, caesar salad, buttery green beans and a nice ballla butter to go with my fat buns…bread buns, that is. Turkey dinner doesnt happen enough, and the Pinnacle Hotel does a mean job of puttin it out on the regular. Buffet work lunch, the only reason i attended lol

Major itis plus 3 hours of afternoon workshops =  not a good time, man. Whatevs i killed it!!!

Bangers and mash fries + Shepherd’s pie at Cheschire Cheese w/ Doobs Dang and Vickyloves (North Vancouver, BC)

We got fries instead of mashed taters and the gravy was bomb dot com.

Going eggstra  fancy with whipped / piped taters.  Typical english pub grub! It was a LOT of food for 2 folks, but…

WE KILLED IT.
